2026/2027 SHS And SHTS Academic Calendar: GES Reopening Date, Vacation & Closing Dates

For weeks now at 247 World Reports, we have been following the 2026/2027 school placement. And finally, as of September 4, 2026, we have a clear picture.

The Ministry of Education has released the 2026/2027 SHS and TVET placement today, September 4, 2026.

The official portal is https://cssps.gov.gh and it is live now.

This comes after a short delay. The placement was earlier scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026. But according to Graphic Online and a statement signed by Press Secretary Hashmin Mohammed on August 30, the Ministry extended the deadline.

The reason was to allow Heads of Schools, parents and guardians to finish uploading outstanding school choices. Reports from GNA indicated that about 20,000 qualified students had their choices pending on the WAEC and CSSPS platforms.

The extension period has ended and the placement is now out for both SHS and TVET.
