Artiste manager and entertainment pundit BullGod has heaped massive praise on dancehall star Stonebwoy, saying no Ghanaian artiste has worked harder than him in recent years.
BullGod said this while speaking on Hitz FM. He was reacting to Stonebwoy’s sold-out concert at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London last weekend.
According to him, what Stonebwoy has done is not easy and Ghanaians need to respect his hard work.
What BullGod said “If we are being honest, no artiste in Ghana has worked harder than Stonebwoy in the last 10 years. The boy is consistent. From filling the Ashaiman To The World concert every year to selling out shows in Europe and America. This London concert is just the result of hard work.”
He added that Stonebwoy deserves all the support he is getting because he has paid his dues.
“People think it is easy to fill a 2,000 capacity hall in London where Nigerians and Jamaicans are dominating. But Stonebwoy did it. He sold tickets, not free show. Ghanaians in London came out in their numbers. That tells you something.”
BullGod, who used to manage Shatta Wale, also said the industry should learn from Stonebwoy’s team. He said they plan well, they promote well, and they don’t make noise on social media. They just work.
Stonebwoy’s London Night
For those who missed it, Stonebwoy shut down London on Saturday. The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire was full. Fans sang from his old songs like “Baafira” to his new hits like “Into The Future” and “Manodzi”.
He brought surprise performances and gave fans a full 2-hour show. Videos from the concert have been trending on TikTok and Instagram since Sunday.
This is not the first time Stonebwoy is selling out in London. He did the same at O2 Academy Brixton in 2022, but this year’s show was bigger and more organised.
Fans React
After BullGod’s statement, BHIM Nation fans have been praising him. Many say BullGod is being truthful this time, even though he and Stonebwoy have had issues in the past.
One fan wrote on X, “BullGod is right. Hate him or love him, Stonebwoy works harder than everyone. He is always on tour, always recording, always performing. No time for beef.”
Another fan said, “This is why we love BullGod. When it’s time to say the truth, he says it.”
Stonebwoy himself is yet to reply to BullGod’s praise, but he posted on his Instagram story thanking his London fans for the love.
With his new album “Up & Running” doing well and his tour still ongoing, Stonebwoy is proving once again why he is one of Ghana’s biggest exports.
